What is the Muslim justification for acts of terrorism?

I just heard about the attack in China. There seems to be a continuing thread of links to terrorism. What can be done to stemy disruptions in civilized society.

It's same justification that Christians use when they set fire to an abortion clinic.  Every religion has fanatics.  This isn't a 'Muslim justification'.  It's a group of nuts, blowing stuff up.

You shouldn't group all muslims together.

It's hard to say why. There's always various reasons. There's some that want to make a statement. Others who do it for religion, etc. It's not a black and white situation. It's a gray area. You just can't pinpoint WHY.
