  1. Didn't know that NW has an A330, I thought only UA has, perhaps this is the reason why I was hired, we will be handling the NW 747 'A' checks. The interviewer asked me if I am more adept on the Airbus, I told him mechanics are flexible, he can work on Boeing and he can work on Airbus as well. Hopefully, I might get the chance to work on my A330 again.

  2. WOW!! NW bought new planes?  About time......  I hope they put them on the Pacific routes.  NW owned and still flew the oldest 747 on the pacific route.  The only thing older than the aircraft is the stews.  Seniority gets them the route but the same seniority enables them to duck the responsibility of senior stew. Good Union. That results in the junior member being responsible but with no Authority.  I will fly NW across the pond anytime the alternative is walking.

  3. There are individual screens at every seat with "multiple movie choices and games." It has a seating arrangement of 2 - 4 - 2 seats in economy and 2 - 2 - 2 in first. You have to look specifically at which aircraft you are flying (they fly both A330-200s and A330 300s: 200s are named 332 and 300s are 333) to see the at-seat power options. First class has AC power (just plug it in, no adapters needed), while economy has AC in rows 10-23 only on the 332, but does not have it at all on the 333s. 332s usually fly to asia, while 333s usually fly to europe, if that helps at all.
