If a Dealer makes a mistake at the table,does the player lose, ? 2 player 1 all in with K6,Dealer has K10. Burn then the flop 3K5 Burn then the Turn 8, Then the River 6 The all in has two pairs Ks & 6s.He wins wrong. The Dealer forgot to (BURN A CARD on the RIVER) What is the RULE. Does the allin player lose all his money Bacause the Dealer took his ruiver 6 card away to burn it and turn over a nother card 9 and gives the dealer a win with Ks with a 10 kicker. What is the Rule? or is it a mistdeal and start over or a split pot? Help Ed

  1. Usually when something like that happens, the floor manager or tournament director is called to the table to give a ruling.   Here are the tournament director rules that most follow:

  2. it would either be a misdeal and eeryone in pot would split, or the river card would be burned and next card would count. depends on house. if in a casino dealer would not have a hand. so homegames can have any rules the house wants

In this case, I would rule in favour of the dealer.  If you were all in preflop, it makes no difference if the dealer made a mistake on the river but then corrected it.  Now, if you had of gone all-in after seeing the six, and then the dealer realized he made a mistake, that would have been completely different.  But no outcome was changed.  Other than getting your hopes up a bit and then crushing them, the dealer acted as he should.
