What is the Packer's big problem?

So Favre wants to play as a starter? and if not in Greenbay, then somewhere else? everyone is making it seem like Favre is the main cause of the problems, but how hard is it to just trade the guy? If you don't want him in your division that's fine, just let him play. I am not a Greenbay or Favre fan, but this is childish of the Packers. If anything they would benefit quite a bit, probably get some kind of draft pick, even as high as 2nd round, for a guy that they don't want around anyway. I really can't understand their reasoning, other than to simply spite the guy who did so much for them.

  1. The problem is Brett Favre is better than Aaron Rodgers right now & probably will be for the next 5 years.   If they trade him he will either end up playing them or he will make the team they trade him to a contender & they will look stupid.   Without Favre the Packers are the 2nd best team in the NFC North to Minnesota & if Favre ends up in a Vikings uniform then they will win around 12-13 games & be in contention with the Cowboys to go to the Superbowl.   Favre carried that team last year & Green Bay is too stupid to realize that.

  2. I agree the Packers are being childish while making Favre look like the bad guy. It shouldn't be a problem that he decided to unretire. The fact that the Packers don't want to accept it is ridiculous! The Packers should start thinking about what is best for the team which is wins and not about Rodgers feelings. If they are going to let their better QB sit on the bench, they should trade him. The Packers are looking like a bunch of asses in this situation.

  3. Honestly, this has gone on too long, training camps are underway and the Pack are ruining their team by keeping this going.  You are right, trade him or drop him, but a decision needs to be made today. This team is not focused on winning anymore, they're focused on seeing what will happen with this whole situation. The Packers should just cut Brett and let everyone move on. They should show the league they are confident in aaron and they are confident in themselves, and let him go to Chicago or Minnesota. Just resolve this conflict and let teams practice.

I agree, the front office and coaches of the Pack are being childish, great call.

  4. The problem is that Ted Thompson is a dumb assss!  He ruined the Houston Oilers and is now doing the same to the Packers.  Im starting to believe he really works for the Bears undercover!

  5. I agree!  The Packers are trying to have it both ways.  I say if he's good enough to beat you (if he's on the Vikes or Bears), then he's good enough to start on your team!  This shouldn't be a hard decision, Brett should either start with the Packers or be traded.

  6. I agree with the Packers on this.  The man retired now he wants to come back and have it his way.  Can anyone else quit there job and then go back and bump some guy out of his spot.  NO.  And no they aren't going to trade him for anything less than a number 1 draft pick.  When Brett retired he lost all his bargaining power.  He should have thought about it a little bit more before retiring!   Brett is being a jerk and all this drama is his fault.

  7. Rogers was a first round draft pick. The team invested a lot of time, money, and other resources in this guy. They're ready to get some payback on that investment.

IMO, Favre's great numbers from last year won't be repeated. He was an interception machine the previous year. He was a great a player but now he's acting like a prima donna.

  8. FArve might get traded to vikings , Maybe and the packers does not want farve to go somewhere else because they say that they are protecting his legacy.
