The Palestinian peoples use the national currency of Israel. The Israeli New Shekel or 'Sheqel'. Introduced in 1985 to replace the old shekel. One shekel is equal to about thirty cents US or about 20 Euro cents as of this writing. The shekel is subdivided into 100 units called agorot. The coins are actually minted in South Korea while the notes are printed in Switzerland.
