What is the Paseo Colon like, 08002 in Barcelona? Is it noisy or crowded,or good?

It is in the Barri Gotic area of Barcelona...specifically down by the water...We'll be there in the winter...Is it noisy or crowded... Or is it nice...the apt. we are considering has views of the sea but I don't know much else....Anyone had experience there? The closest train/underground is the Jaume station.

The end of the street at the Ramblas is grim and rather sordid.

The Via Leytana end is much better and your metro is OK.

Check that you are double glazed to keep the noise out. I strongly recommend that you explore the area late Saturday night to see it at its best and worst. What is a fun area as a tourist is not necessarily good to live in.

Well, you'll have views to the port and Maremagnum (a commercial complex with cinemas, bars, discos and the aquarium). I don't think it's very noisy or crowded. Besides, if the windows are not bad you shouldn't have any problem.
