What is the Points program all about; how can you earn points, and how do you lose points; what can you win w/

RE Yahoo!s Points System: I am completely in the dark, know nothing! Can anyone out there in Yahoo! land please enlighten me? How do I earn Points, how many ways are there to earn points? What can I do, or win or whatever, with the Points? What is the best way to earn points? When do you know you have enough Points to redeem? Are you notified by a member of Yahoo! about your Points alertsor anything like that at any time? What, then is the redemption process all about? Is that at your discretion, or Yahoo!'s own set guidelines? I asked, what would be the best way to gain Points. NOW, I ask YOU, what are the easiest top-five ways to LOSE Points? I don't even know if it's all about the QUESTION formats or forums, so I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE I COULD GO WRONG, AND end-up LOSING these valuable Points. For example, DO I have to win up to 500 Points, lose 130 for a few infractions(AND WHAT MIGHT THEY BE, PLEASE), work back up to the 500 Points again? FINALLY, WHAT COULD I WIN?

answering a questin = +2

getting voted best answer = +10

voting for best answer = +1

asking a question = -5

you also get points for logging in each day.. 10 per day i believe

points arent redeamable for anything, just the sheer joy of reaching "that next leval"

with leval progression comes the ability to rate other answers see that little thumbs up and thumbs down sign) and the ability to answer more questions per day (leval 1 limit is 20 / day)

When against your answer and reports you you lost points as well I think.

Hey buddy, quite a few questions there. Main thing would be to click on the actual amount of points that you have for a box to appear telling you most of this info. There is nothing that you win, it's just for fun, some people do it to be competitive, others just for the sheer joy of reaching a certain points amount.

Easiest way to loose 5 points is to ask questions, they eat them up for you.
