I'm sorry, but I just don't believe this "BECAUSE IT'S CUTE" bullshit. What is the REAL reason that some of you girls must dress S****y on Halloween?

Because it's the one day of the year that they can get away with it without weird looks - or at least not many weird looks. They can't dress like s***s in school (dress code or uniform), so they do it when somebody's going ot be looking (when they're trick or treating or partying), because face it - who's going to see you dressing sluttily at home?

lol.  Susie your 'Additional Details' cracked me up.  I am with you, I didn't know 'dressing up' meant 'dressing S****y' either...anyway, I see no other reason for girls dressing like that other than for attention...primarily male attention.  That reminds me...every year there are 3 or 4 teenage girls who trick or treat on my street (yes 14-15 year olds trick or treating) dressed in a style I like to call "hooker s***k".  I guess it boosts their ego's to be looked at by passers by.  We just set around laughing at them for making complete fools of themselves.

because they either want attention from men and have some deeper meaning behind it such as issues with men and not realizing why they dont pay attention to them unless they dress that way or they never get to do it unless they sleep with someone?? i dont know lol

some girls dresse ''S****y'' because they think they look hot so it makes them feel confident  but honestly because its halloween girls dresse that way becuase other people cant call the whores or s***s becuase the whole point of halloween is dressing up

News flash its not just Halloween. Like everything else in the world there is  time and place for everything. If your not going to an "ADULT party" or dressing up for your guy behind closed doors, theres no reason to dress like that.

Simply because I am a woman, and well to be honest (unlike most), I have been there done that... Its a sign of immaturity and insecurity, info I am sure you already know!

most of them have slits up the legs and stuff.

Everyone has a dirty little fantasy that they can't express in their daily life, whether that's becoming a Playboy Bunny for a day or a dirty nurse (I'm sure even you do, although it's obvious you'd never admit it). Quite simply? Its for attention.

Why do women/some men wear makeup? To bring attention to themselves in a positive manner. Sometimes people don't care what kind of attention they receive, so long as they get some. Don't take it the wrong way, but its like dogs, dogs that get a lot of attention from their owners are generally well behaved, don't chew things up and have less mental issues, whereas we have dogs that are given almost no attention that are extremely hyper, neurotic and misbehave.

Society also praises these (generally) young women for dressing that way.

1) Its profitable for the hair, clothing & makeup industry.

2) There's more of an emphasis on reproduction which guarantees a new generation of of young women that will perpetuate the cycle (look at the 10 year olds in the mall, coming out of Abercrombie and Fitch with an iPhone).

3) Men give women who dress up or are flashy more attention and that creates and sense of want/need + security.
