  1. I always thought it was Elizabitch the Queen.

  2. Their surname is Windsor, but often they are just called Wales.  In the army it was William Wales.

  3. Von Braum, probably.

  4. Windsor

  5. The British Royal family's surname is Windsor. So her full name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor. But her full title in the UK (not her name) is: "Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith"

  6. Parasite.

  7. The Queen is in the Royal line of Windsor, but this name was changed from "Saxe-Coburg and Gotha" before WW1 due to anti-German feeling. The name Windsor was taken from the Royal Castle of the same name.

Technically the Royal family has no surname(Queen Victoria had to launch an investigation to find it out) as they are simply known as Rex or Regina, hence the ER(Elizabeth Regina) on post-boxes.

  8. The royal family's second name is Avarice.

  9. most posters have answered correctly

but:  'Regina' means 'Queen.'  It is not a name.

The name Harry and Willy use in the army, 'Wales' refers to Chuck's title 'Prince of Wales.'

  10. Rubble---once upon a time the queen was known as betty rubble...it was a very, very long time ago

  11. No, it's not.

  12. Regina............

  13. Royals do not have last names, they have "Houses." So they say. :-)

By virtue of Queen Victoria's marriage to Prince Albert, son of Duke Ernst I of the small German duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, her descendants were members of the ducal family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha with the house name of Wettin.

But high anti-German feeling among the people during World War I prompted the Royal Family to abandon all titles held under the German crown and to change German-sounding titles and house names for English-sounding versions. On July 17, 1917, a royal proclamation by George V provided that all  descendants of Queen Victoria through the male line would be members of the House of Windsor with the personal surname of Windsor.

In April 1952, after her accession, Queen Elizabeth II officially declared her “Will and Pleasure that I and My children shall be styled and known as the House and Family of Windsor, and that my descendants who marry and their descendants, shall bear the name of Windsor.” This is in contrast with the usual practice in which her children would be of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg through their father, born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, a line of the House of Oldenburg.

On February 8, 1960, the Queen confirmed that she and her descendants will be known as the House and Family of Windsor, and further provided that their personal surname, whenever one should be needed, is "Mountbatten-Windsor". Mountbatten is the surname adopted by Prince Philip before his marriage, an anglicization of his mother's family name of Battenberg.

  14. Please take a look at our website, this should explain everything in full: http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/Page5657....

  15. Saxe-Coburg-Gotha - Windsor is a made up English sounding name the monarchy took on during World War 1. Prince Philip's  is  - Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg

But what their true names are  Who Knows ?!  all these names sound a bit gobble-dee-goooky..

  16. HRH Queen Elizabeth Windsor innit??

  17. It was changed to Windsor

  18. thought i always that it was hoopladoopla or popadopulus or something. Tis all greek and geek to me.

  19. The Royal family name of Windsor was confirmed by The Queen after her accession in 1952. However, in 1960, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh decided that they would like their own direct descendants to be distinguished from the rest of the Royal family (without changing the name of the Royal House), as Windsor is the surname used by all the male and unmarried female descendants of George V.

It was therefore declared that The Queen's descendants, other than those with the style of Royal Highness and the title of Prince/Princess, or female descendants who marry, would carry the name of Mountbatten-Windsor. Unless Prince Charles chooses to alter the present decisions when he becomes king, he will continue to be of the House of Windsor and his grandchildren will use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.

  20. Regina (fagina)

  21. i think its windsor like the name windsor castle

  22. The surname of the royal family at the moment is Windsor.

  23. Winsor-but it's made up

  24. The Queen's full title is Elizabeth Regina. The family name is Windsor - changed shortly before the 1st World War because of Uncle Kaiser Wilhelm's grumblings.

Queen Victoria and her Consort, Albert both had German family names.

    The Mountbattens were Battenbergs.

  25. So what's the last name of Prince Philip?

  26. the royal families second name is windsor she might have mountbatten in it not sure

  27. As stated earlier Windsor. However during the first world war, because of the German roots the name of battenburgh was removed , Hence we Had Lord Mountbatten and not the original german name.

You must remember up to World War 1 ournatural enemies were the french.

  28. Windsor, or in Harry's case it's Wales
