  1. A house officer is paid around 8000-1000 rupees( $130- 170) roughly. Sometimes they work free as well if a paid spot in a training program is not available. Doctors working in village clinics are paid 20000-30000 on contract based jobs. Job in Govt. sector on regular paysclae is based on your payscale grade e.g grade 17 is paid around 12000 base pay and so on.
