  1. The actual planet is about 4.5 billion years old.

In about 4.5 billion years the Earth will be burnt to a cinder by the expanding ( red giant ) sun. Total life of the planet is therefor about 9 billion years.

Total life of "life" on Earth - if we're not stupid enough to destroy ourselves earlier - could be the 5 billion years in the middle.

  2. Yes, according to "Lawrence Krauss" (astrophysicist) in his book "Atom",  the earth has an expectancy of around 10 billion years until our sun starts burning helium (rather than hydrogen), becomes a "Red Giant" and gobbles up the solar system.

  3. The oldest rock is measured over 5 billion years. The Earth would have originally formed about 5.5 billion years ago.

life has been on Earth roughly 3.5 billion years.

Humans have been on Earth roughly 60 thousand years... we are just babies.

  4. well aparently its about half way now

    goodluck:P

  5. Geologists estimate Earth to be over 4 billion years old.

  6. i hope you aren't asking us to tell you how many life forms exist on earth.....

that number is incalculable.... there are 6,000,000,000+ just of us..... even the average person has a few pets.... that's another 18,000,000,000 life forms... and that's not even begining to scratch the surface...

  7. huh? Re-word the question.  It does not make sense.
