Question:

What is the Trader Joe's equivalent in Texas?

I am in the Dallas Forth Worth area and am looking for an alternative to Whole Foods. I've checked out Central Market but most items are gourmet and pricey. Trader Joe's on the West Coast has been a great way to still get organic and vegan foods at a lower cost. Any suggestions?

  1. I've wondered the same thing.  I hope Trader Joe's comes to Texas.  Btw, a new Sprouts in opening in a small town, Murphy.  It's between Wiley and Plano.  I drove by and saw their sign, but the store isn't done yet.  It's in a new shopping center on the corner FM 544 and Murphy Road.  There is a Lowe's there that is open now, if that helps you find it.

I just thought of another good market. It's Market Street.  It's not a Trader Joes, it's much larger.  They have a great produce section and prices are good.  Their organic or good for you foods all sit on brown shelves, so you know where they are at a glance.  They have a lot of variety in items, too.

    I listed both links below.

  2. Try Sprouts. There's one near the intersection of Forest and Marsh. I love their prices on produce, meat and home made pre packages meals. Google Sprouts Dallas for address and phone number.
