BINGO – Single celled organisms are the most powerful organisms on Earth.  They have always been so.  The world of micro organisms includes:

BACTERIA

FUNGI

ACTINOMYCETES

ALGAE

PROTOZOA

VIRUSES

Two examples:

1.  Take away dinosaurs (+65 million years ago) and the Earth stays pretty much the same.  Take away all chordates today (which include all mammals)  - and the Earth stays pretty much the same.  Take away single celled life - and almost all life forms on Earth die.

2.  Take a sack and put in all multicellular life on Earth and weigh it.  Take a second sack and put in all single celled life forms on Earth and weigh it.  The sack with the single celled life forms is estimated to weigh ten times the weight in the other sack.

on top of that is the megalodon shark....one of the best hunters the world has ever seen
