  3. There are no conductors on Underground trains. They are driver only operated

  4. On London Underground, Mr Unhappy as they have made him redundant through OMO of trains.

    To Hoghead - he was a guard on the London Underground, altho' exceptionally for UK railways passengers travel in cars rather than carriages due to the US influence and finance (Charles Yerkes) on the early development of the 'tube'

  5. His friends call 'im "Chuck."  

    But he is a ""Guard" in the UK, if I'm not mistaken, and in the US, he is the "Conductor."

    Above ground in the US, he is still the Conductor.  Don't know if they differentiate in the UK.

    Any help here from across the pond?
