What is the V-shaped dip above the sternum called?

depending on how you move your neck it can be very faint or pronounced, I want the most medical name, I know the bones around it basically, just not what it is specifically called.

  1. It's called the suprasternal notch (supra - above, so the notch above the sternum...go figure).


  2. This "dip" is specifically named the Suprasternal notch.  This is the notch/gap at the top of the manubrium (upper part) of the sternum, between the clavical notches, which run horizontally.

    The lay term is the "jugular notch".
