Sprints athletes are very special as they have a high proportion of speed muscles which are called twitch this allows them to run with training and technique very fast training for sprints should not be done at less than 80% effort below that the body produces an enzyme allowing you to run further but slower also recommended is plyometrics which are bounds hops bunny hops over hurdles you can also do reaction training so your body gets used to reacting quickly to the gun the race is generally split into 3 phases start speed of the blocks and attaining full speed about 30 mts the middle running tall at full speed then the last 20/25 mts to the finish line where your whole body is screaming stop you can overcome this with stamina training and timing over the last 20 mts or so hope this gives you a lttle insight to those special guys SPRINTERS
