  5. I think you have to be 16 Didnt those chinese girls just lose the golds because they lied about there age. They were only like 13-14

    It used to be that you could compete in the same year you turned 15 - which is why Nadia Comaneci was only 14 when she won the All Round final in Montreal in 1976. She turned 15 later that year.

    Now the rules are you must turn 16 the year you compete. So only 15 years olds are the youngest competitors.
