  1. I can't say anything definitive about those rounds, but any would do if you have a heavy enough bullet (180-200 gr. for instance) and shoot placement is still essential.

    Pretty much all factory ammo mushrooms well and will give you the results needed. If you are handloading though, like I said above, shot placement and weight are all you need.


  2. providing you are shooting a modern gun, i'd go with the barnes. you can load it to hyper velocity because of the light weight of the all copper shorter bullet.

    if you are shooting a gun that requires a lower pressure chamber, then i'd go with the 140 nosler. lower speed but more bullet.

  3. I suspect you'd have to shoot a few lifetimes' worth in comparison to have a solid opinion.

  4. IMO those are both light even for deer in the areas I hunt. The elk here are close to 800 dressed so I want more knockdown than a round that light.  I use a .30-06 in a 220 grain.
