What is the accent on a frappe?

When you are doing frappes, should your working foot spend more time in (coupee position) or out (degagee position)

coupee.  You should start in coupe, strike (the literal meaning of frappe) the ground, then return to the coupe position.  It should instantly STRIKE bam back to couppe immediately :)

It should spend more time in coupe (in). When you do the beat, it should only spend a second out. It may not literally spend more time in actual coupe position, but this should be the feeling.
