Now that 70% of the territory they claim is not recognized by any government on earth or the U.N.? Isn't their legal status confined to the area allotted to them in the 1947 Partition Plan resolution?

  1. err... There isn't any.

  2. The legal basis is the same as every other country in the region, ive never seen you question jordans legitimacy or iraqs, ive never seen you condemn syria after Rafik Hariri or champion kurdish rights as i have, my best friend is a kurd and a muslim.I dont think youre stupid bosco but you are incapable of seeing both sides I dont know you, but i know your type, you think youre smarter than you are, instead of spending countless hours on here calling for Israels destruction and the death of innocent women and children why not read a few pro israel authors, see if you feel the same, like i said i know youre type, easily brainwashed..

To the guy above he blocks anyone he disagrees with HAHA thats why.

  3. Ultimately none whatsoever; they just greased a lot of palms at the UN in 1947.

Zeno's answer is probably the most comprehensive from the standpoint of international law.

  4. haha its so amazing how no one can respond on the other side of this argument, the sad truth they have no legal or moral basis, its just because people with power say so.

  5. No government acknowledges their acquisition of the West Bank, the Golan Heights or the Gaza Strip; their legality is confined to their legal borders, which consists of the borders as established in 1947. Few governments that maintain diplomatic relations have elected to move their embassy or consulate offices to the zionist-procalimed capital of divided Jerusalem ( legally it is divided). They remain in Tel Aviv. It is analogous to Germany after the forced acquisition of Austria and the Czecholand (Slovakia received it's independence). Governments with diplomatic relations did not recognize the new "borders". Thus,at one and the same time the zionist regime is both legal and illegal - but most of the territory it claims is illegally held. However the legality of the U.N.'s 1947 Partition Plan is itself dubious since it violated the original mandate charter, which clearly indicated the right of the people to self-determination. Having assumed responsibility for the mandates they were obligated to abide by  their charters; they technically - and morally - had no right to divide Palestine into two and give half to the Jewish Agency - precursor of the zionist regime - and the other half to Jordan.

  6. Where have you been the usa say it is ok so it must be

  7. The same legal basis of Palestine the UN resolution 181 the 2 states resolution.

Note that the 181 resolution is not legal if the 2 states are not created at the same time.

This why Israel work hard on the recognition issue and this why no Palestinian is willing to do that without Israel recognition of a viable Palestinian state first.
