  1. Sometimes you can find a single rate otherwise it is 100%.

A single will pay as much a double room ...

  2. Its called "single supplement" and is usually just about double the price of the cabin that you select.  So if you want top go alone and now pay a big bundle, select the lowest priced cabin on ship, an inside cabin.

  3. It depends. It can be as little as 40-50% more, a 100% more, or even more than that.

I have found Carnival and RCI to be the nicest to single travelers. Princess, Celebrity and others quote double-the same as 2 people. It really just depends on the cruise line, and how popular and full a certain cruise is.

Try to book for a total price(with taxes and fees) that is around $100 per night, more for a higher deck or better cabin. If you can get one for under $100 a night, you are doing great! My best as a single was $75 a night.

  4. Single Supplement

Usually it is 100% of the fare- Some cruise lines have upped it to 150%/200%.  This is done since there is one less person to buy booze, shore excursions, and stuff on the ship.

  5. The additional price is anywhere from an additional 10% to an additional 100%.

    The term is "single supplement".

  6. 100%!

  7. Usually it is 40% more, which lets you know the profit margin.
