Could you provide me with an address to take my daughter and friends before the summer is over. I want something in Dallas we have never seen before.

  1. You mean West End? Dallas, Texas

  2. I have been to an underground mall in Atlanta, GA. I have never heard of one before in Dallas, TX.

If this blog is to be believed their is an entrance at Fountain Place.

The Downtown Wells Fargo offices. Fountain Place itself is pretty exciting, so it might be worth taking a look at the underground mall.

    1445 Ross Ave

    Dallas, TX 75202

  3. There's no "underground mall" in Dallas, only a network of tunnels that connects the various buildings downtown. The only stores you'll find there are fast food restaurants, so I'm afraid your daughter and her friends will be disappointed. If you insist on going, you can find a street-level entrance at Thanksgiving Square: 1627 Pacific Ave Pacific (between Akard and Bryan).

The "tunnels" and skywalks were meant to shelter downtown Dallas pedestrians from the heat and rain, but as a result there's less foot traffic on the street levels (making downtown look dead during the day). Hopefully after downtown reaches "critical mass" we will see some resurgence in the tunnel system, but that's unlikely since the city is spending so much money on parks and other outdoor locations.
