What is the advantage of the new foam soap i see everywhere for washing your hands?

Well, it seems that one pump is all you need.  Unlike the other kind, which does not foam as easily and you are left with a big glob of soap going down the drain and eventually have to get another squirt for your hands to feel clean.  Another good thing is that it's not as harsh on your hand like the regular liquid soap.  I personally love foam soap, I will never go back to liquid.

It's more economical & less gets wasted through drips.

soap is a base but its the actual suds that do the cleaning, so when its already soapy foam its cleaning better

I believe it helps with dripping soap. Sometimes after you use the pump on a regular soap dispenser, you get a "soap string", if you will. Soap strings lead to soap "puddles" if not wiped right away. SO using a foam soap dispenser may in the long run decrease the amount of soap wasted. Otherwise, it's just kinda silly, in my opinion. But someone is makeing money off of it, so...

Foam soaps are just a gimmick to get you to purchase them. Soap is just a surfactant (helps free the dirt away from the surface of your hands) but it's the friction that actually cleans your hands. Not the soap!!

as far as I know, it just uses less. like one squirt can give you more soap. but idk, there might be a more complex reason than that :)

Its just more economical to buy. If you dont scrub your hands for 2 minutes in warm water, your not getting rid of all the germs anyway.
