What is the advantage of the..?

what advantages does the human eye have over the camera?

Odd question, but OK here goes...

1. The human eye automatically adapts to changing light conditions.

2.  The human eye automatically self-repairs (to an extent)

3. I'm not sure if this one should be included since it involves 2 eyes and the brain, but...the human eye can work with another eye to create 3-D images.

There are certainly more answers, but I'm not sure how esoteric you want to get (the eye generally works without thought, etc.)

Well, cameras ran out of film in the old days. Now they can ran out of DC power. While the eyes if cared will last you a lifetime of colorful visuals not to mention all those that you keep in your memory through your human natural ability to recall.

One of the big ones I can think of is "depth of field".    When you take a picture, depending on how you go about it (aperture and/or where your focus, etc), part of the picture could be in focus, while part would be blurry.  I think the eye is much better at keeping everything in focus at one  time.

Well the human eye can see much clearer than a camera ever could.and and the human eye can focus much more quickly than a camera.
