I don't want to read answers like "you're as young as you feel." I want a popular perception of when "youth" ends - and also, please post your own age in your answer.

Thanks!

  1. I'm 23...

I feel very old right now in all honesty haha.

My older siblings (in their mid to late 30s) play an invisible violin out of sarcasm haha.

I just think once you reach your early 20s.. you definitely have alot more responsbilities than before.

I mean yeah it depends on the situation; there are alot of teenagers who have kids, who are supporting themselves, etc etc but I mean the "typical" scenerios of teenagers being able to live at home rent free, open up their fridge and see free food you know what I mean haha...

Right now I'm done with university and I'm struggling to carve out a niche in the world, to find a career etc... and relationships seem a little more serious now than before..

Again this varies.. but when I was 'younger,' relationships were all about fun...

Yeah to an extent, they still are not, but once *many* people get older, their tastes change.. I like older men (I just mean late 20s early 30s btw hahaha), and although I've dated some older men who have had the wrong intentions, alot of them are ready to settle down and start a family, and for ME personally, only at the age of 23, I feel like I want to be a young mother and etc etc.. alot of stuff going through my head right now obviously..

I feel for me.. youth ends when you're lack-of-responsbility-days are over... when you're no longer the 'young' of your parents (assuming your parents took care of you etc etc)..

I know... you don't want me to say age is but a number etc.. I mean there are plenty of older people who are out there enjoying their life alot more than people my age and they probably illustrate 'youth' alot more.. but they probably had alot of responsibilities to handle before they reached the point to be able to live a carefree life

  2. I have frequently heard 35 as the cut-off date for youth.

I am now 50 years old -- definitely in middle age!

  3. I think it is around 35.  I am 23, I have met lots of 30 yr olds that I can talk to and relate to.  I consider them as being young people.  I think 35-40 is the answer to your question.
