What is the age difference between you and your bf/gf/fiance/hubby/wife?

My boyfriend is 26 and I am 17 (8 1/2 years apart). We have been together for almost 6 months. But everyone thinks its a big deal even though I'll be 18 in less then 3 months.

my boyfriend and i met

when i was 15, he was 17

now i am 20, he is 22

if you are going to be 18 in a few months, you do have the right to date as you choose. BUT! lol

i DO completely understand why everyone is making a big deal, your just getting out of highschool when hes been 4 years out of college... anything under 22 for your age i would think would be somewhat acceptable,,, but 26,,,, thats a little much.  think about it this way when hes 30 you will only be reaching you 22nd b-day.

but if your happy your happy.

i was 18 and he was 39 when we first met so were like 21 years apart what a huge age gap right but i do believe that age doesnt matter when u really love the person. and we went against the world to prove our love and were still together and loving each other and i never reegret it his the best thing that i ever have.. so if u love someone badly go for it!1 cause it will surely bring you joy and happiness

Not much between my husband & I only 2 years, we have been married for 17 years. My in-laws are 11 years apart & they have been married for almost 40 years. Age doesn't mean a d**n thing! As long as you guys share the same interests & are in love who cares what others think. Good luck!!!

My husband is 6 years older than I am.  I don't think they would think it was such a big deal if you were 30 and he was 38.  I think they are looking at the maturity aspect of it.
