  1. I feel awkward answering this as i am the only guy so far to do so....but I was 11 or so...but I am sort of big for my age: 6'0 at 14

  2. Yeah, when I turned 12 I was able to get a queen sized bed. My sister got a full sized the same time I got mine and she was 10. I'm thinking your parents prob don't want to pay for another bed, so offer to pay for half of it because it REALLY is that uncomfortable, and maybe they'll realize that you are serious. (and they prob wont make you pay for half..but if they do, you could just do extra chores or something)

  3. I moved from a twin bed to a full sized bed at around 13.

  4. I slept in a bunk bed with my sister until I moved out and got married!

I think the purpose of twin beds is for one person to sleep in it. The larger beds are for two people to sleep in it. I don't really see a problem sleeping in a twin bed if you are only one person.

  5. I don't think there is one. I didn't know beds had age limits.  I'm 14 and still have a twin. I don't have a problem. If you're twelve, I really don't see why it would be small for you. There would be no room for a bigger bed in my room, anyway. (I have to share with my brother). This is the first I've ever heard of changing bed sizes with age. All of my friends have twin beds, too. We don't have problems with it. What are you, 7 feet tall? I'm not trying to be mean, but sheesh. If you really want a bigger one, buy it yourself.

  6. I'm 15 and I still sleep in a twin-sized bed except for when I'm by my mom, then I have two beds in my room to choose from, a twin-sized and a queen-sized. The same goes for my 13 y/o brother, he has a bunk-bed. Queen-sized at the bottom, twin-sized on top.

  7. I had a twin bed until i moved out, at 17

  8. When they move out of the house and buy a bed of their own.

  9. Whenever. talk to your parents an explain your problem

  10. I got out of my twin when I bought myself  a queen. Try getting a part job and getting one of ur own. There is no specific age it's just when u are ready

  11. im 15 an i have a single bed... my bf is 20 and he has a single bed lol..does it really matter if your 12? lol Its not like your sleeping next to people all the time.

  12. i think that u should get a bigger bed. the ages i think should have a twin is, 7- 12. i think u should switch beds.

  13. I guess when you can buy one of your own or your parents can afford one.  I slept in a twin bed until I was in college.  And even then, it wasn't until my senior year of college that I got a queen bed, and that was given to me as a hand me down by a neighbor.

  14. I got a double-sized bed from my grandpa when he died when I was 12. But you know what I realized? My twin bed was more comfy and my current double bed takes up a lot of space in my room. Also, I don't really need all the room my double bed provides!

  15. Whenever they can afford it.

Usually, you get a bigger bed when you get a job and buy one.

If you're bed is old and hurting you due to sagging or springs poking out, or if your feet hang off the end that's different.  You might need a new bed, not necessarily a bigger bed.

(Twin beds come in a long size)

  16. I stayed in my twin bed until I moved out and got married

    EDIT:

yes that is ironic...love your name

  17. i had mine until i was 17 ha ha. im 5'10 also, so it wasnt that comfortable at all. when we moved my mom bought me a queen sized bed. finally

  18. I was 23 when I upgraded to a full size.  Until then I worked with what my parents gave me & after that, what I could afford

  19. I stayed in my twin until I moved out of my parents house and in with my boyfriend at 22.

If it's uncomfortable try flipping the matress or asking for a new (still twin) one.
