I'm curious, because in some places it's different from what I've heard. How old do you have to be, to just get like a part-time job, let's say at Starbucks?

Thank You

  1. most places its 16

  2. It depends on the industry.  Some agriculture jobs hire 8 years + with a work permit.  Most fast food and grocers hire 15+ with a work permit.

  3. the iron age.

  4. 17 is a gr8 age...starbucks...believe me ive tried....is 18 or older...whoever says otherwise is a noob...nationwide corporate companys do not vary with their standards state by state.....then it wouldn't be a nation-wide corp. then would it?.......id say 16-17 for an hourly job in an office, fast food,etc.....id say like 14-15 for like a counselor in training type thing at a summer camp....i lived my life this way.....now im working as a new york city real estate agent ...whaddup!

  5. For Starbuck's it's usually 16 or 17...but it varies by state

  6. sixteen

  7. around 13 for a summer job but full time is 16+

  8. when your balls drop

  9. Good question. It will depend on where you live and which state or province you live in.

Some of the states allow children as young as 12 or 13 to enter the workforce. In Canada I do believe most provinces are 15, but there may be one or two that are one year lower.

It would be best to speak to some local business owners or call your city hall for accurate information.

    Good luck!

  10. Maybe around 16

  11. 16 ish

  12. Around here at 14 and 15 you can work at Six Flags or something.

    Any other job is 16+

Some even require people to be 18. Like the movie theater, and Macy's stores around here.

For starbucks, I would guess and say 16+. I dont have one of them anywhere near me..so I wouldnt know.

  13. Late 30's in the UK
