Question:

What is the air national guard? What are the steps to join?

I'm thinking about joining the air national guard because there are numerous jobs on careerbuilder listed for it in my area. I just graduated with a Bachelor's of science in sociol work.

I'm hoping to get a recruiter position or a social worker position. Possibly a counselor of some sort. Whatever is available.

My question is: what is basic training? How long is it? What are my steps from there? Is there a minimum amount of years you need to sign up?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks!

  4. Air National Guard is basically active reserves of the Air Force.

Basic Training is 9 weeks. You're in the military so you get military training. After basic you have AIT which lasts from 2 to 10 months depending on the field chosen. Look at the link below to get all your facts. 2nd link for your years of commitment.

    Good Luck!
