  1. Every municipality of every region around the first world countries have the maximum acceptable concentration (MAC) for coliform in drinking water to zero organisms detectable per 100 Ml The Water containing coliform bacteria should not be used for human consumption.

    In case if there ever be doubt about the containment of water with coliform bacteria, as a precautionary measure, the water should be boiled, at a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to consumption. Bacteria and other harmful disease-causing microorganisms can be removed from water by dis-infections (chlorine treatment, ozone treatment, ultraviolet light treatment, and distillation) and /or filtration.
