  1. I live in Vancouver and have been a bartender for about 12 years now.  Currently you are making minimum wage $8.00 per hour plus tips.  I make on average about $300 per night in tips alone thurs-sun.  I am female and we make alot more than our male co-workers, sad to say but women can be pretty cheap.  Mind you it all depends on your personality and speed.  Good Luck, and keep tipping well.....remember the average acceptable tip is now 20% in Vancouver.  It is a lucretive field, baled out on education for this, but it has paid off.  Own my 3rd house in Vancouver and counting, and if your from Van you know how much real estate is here.

  2. I have a friend who has a bachelors in accounting and was an accountant BUT went back to Bartending cause she made more money making drinks.

She did not say how much!

  3. The annual salary of a Bartender would be very hard to calculate unless you knew the amount of shifts per week, the gross of the establishment and the number of employees...but, to give a guideline...in a happening club you can calculate at leasts 20% of the gross as tips...then sharing with however many are working the ship....You can also count on the 'pilferage' of stock and product by the bartend...they do it all the time...even when inventories are mandatory.

A bartender does very well...all they have to do, is there job...they don't have to steal as if they BARTEND they will build and keep a clientele providing they manage and protect their bar...an easy job with tough moments, but a good money maker if you are focused....and WANT to do it...

  4. ummm bartenders like servers make somthing like 2.13 and hour.  soooo its basically ALLLtips after taxes.  in a busy place, they can clear bout 500-750 a week.

  5. if your good which you will be if you practice.

you should be able to take home 1,000 a week.

    its hard work though.

very hard, but you get used to it.

slow weeks should net you like 600 busy likle 1400.

again you must get in the right place.

  6. I know a waitress can pull in $3000. a month

    thats including their tips...good luck...=-)

  7. Since most of the salary is tips, it depends on how quick you are, how great your personality is, and if you get the good weekend shifts.  I would say at a busy club a bartender could pull in 300-500 in tips on a friday and a saturday.

  8. If you are a good bartender you can pull in 40k a year working 3 nights a week. Its a great supplemental income
