  1. About $70,000 gross, that's what it said on my history teacher's pay stub that she dropped on the floor. But since she's in Canada, half of it will go to taxes.

  2. if you have a higher education you get more money. but if you have taught at the school for a long time you get even more money.

  3. It depends on the area you live. I live in New Hampshire and the average teachers salary ( any grade level, any subject) is $45,000 yearly. I, too, am going for a History teachers certificate...good luck to you.

  4. I am a high school history teacher.  The annual salary varies a great deal depending on where you teach.  Over the course of your career a masters will make a big difference in how much you make and what your retirement will look like.  Get your bachelors and begin teaching and use the school's professional development money to pay for your masters.

  5. Starting pay with a BA in my district is about $35K.  Masters just a few thousand more.  Top pay after 22 years is $70K.

  6. IT all depends on where you go in heavier populated areas you can start anywhere from 30-50,000  or in more rural areas where you'll be around 20-30,000 plus figure extra education if you get your masters it is set up as a tier system more years and education puts you in higher levels

  8. not enough for one of the most important jobs in the world

  9. not enough lol:)

  10. In Maine, it's around 27,000 starting pay and increases with a masters. I really think if you're that interested in teaching you should start with your bachelors in education and then get your masters in history or in education, whatever you like. Good luck!
