  1. there is a writing mistake.   instead of 't' there should a mathematical sign, like + or -

  2. 2x +5y = 9

    6x - 2y = 14

    Multiply the first equation by -3 to eliminate the x

    -6x -15y = -27

    6x - 2y = 14

    ---------------------

    -17y = -13

    y = 13 / 17

    Substitute this value of y to the 1st equation...

    2x +5(13/17) = 9

    2x +(65/17) = 9

    2x = 9 -(65/17)

    2x = 88 / 17

    x = (88/17) / 2

    x = 88 / 34

    x = 44 / 17

    .: P[ (44/17) , (13/17) ]
