  1. either convert ft → in or in → ft.

    1 ft = 12 in

    2 inch = 0.166 666 666 67 ft

    solutions:

    [1] in feet

    6 ft - 3 ft 2 in

    6 ft - ( 3 ft + 0.166 666 666 67 ft) = 2.83333333333 ft → answer in feet

    [2] in inches

    6 (12) - [3 (12) + 2] = 34 inches → answer in inches

    --regards--

  2. (6 feet) - (3 feet 2 inches) = 86.36 centimeters, which equals, 2.83 feet. Hope that helped.....

  3. change ft to inches

    6ft( 12 inches/1ft)= 72 inches

    3 ft( 12 inches/ 1 ft)= 36 inches

    3ft 2 inches= 38 inches

    72 inches-38 inches= 34 inches  or  2 ft  10 inches

  4. turn feet to inches:

    6ft. =     5ft. 12in.

              -  3ft.  2in.

              = 2ft. 10in.

  5. 5.5ft
