  1. 9 [ ( 22 - 17 ) + 5 ( 1 + 2 ) ]

    9[5+5(3)]=??

    9(5+15)= ??

    9(20)= 180

  2. 9 [ ( 22 - 17 ) + 5 ( 1 + 2 ) ] = X

    9 [5 + 5(3)]=X

    9{5+15)=x

    9(20)=X

    180

  3. Parentheses within brackets first.  22 - 17 = 5 and 1 + 2 = 3

    9[5 + 5*3]

    Now do the bracket by doing the mult. first then add.

    5 + 5*3 = 5 + 15= 20

    9[20] = 180

    This is how your work should look:

    9[(22-17) + 5(1 + 2)]

    = 9[5 + 5*3]

    = 9[5 + 15]

    = 9[20]

    = 180

  4. Blah :D

    My answer Was Wrong.

  5. 9[(22 - 17) + 5 (1 + 2)]

    Do the parentheses first.

    9[(5) + 5 (3)]

    9[5 + 5(3)]

    Next do the brackets.  Since there's both multiplication and addition within the brackets, do the multiplication first then the addition, per PEMDAS.

    9[5 + 15]

    9[20]

    Finally, do the multiplication.

    9[20] = 180

  6. 288

  7. Start with (22-17)= 5 then (1+2)= 3 and 3x5=15 so [5+15]=20 then 20x9=180

    180 is the answer

  8. (22-17).......(1+2).....5+ 5x3= 5+15=20.......9x20====180

    im in 8th grade!!!

  9. 9 (22-17) + 5 (1+2) =

    9 (5) + 5 (3)=

    45 + 15=

    60

    I think thats right

    dang my answer was ALL wrong
