It's -5-(15y-1)=2(7y-16)-y

I have tried several times but I cannot find the answer!

  1. -5-(15y-1)=2(7y-16)-y

    -5-15y+1=14y-32-y............multiply

    -15y-4=13y-32..................combine like terms

    -4=28y-32.........................add 15y to each side

    28=28y............................add 32 to each side

    y=1.................................di... each side by 28!

    -14     -14

    16y-5=-32

         +5 +5

    __________

    16y=   37

    ____   ____

    16y      16y      

    y=2.3  idk if it right tho.

    28=28y

    y=1
