       +8           +8

    2x+3x-10=25

            +10 +10

        5x      =35

          x      = 7


  2. (2x-8+8)+(3x-10+10)=17+8+10

    2x+3x=35

    5x=35

    5x/5=35/5

    x=7

  3. x=7.  becuase, 2x-8+3x-10=17 add the 10 and 8 to both sides. givse you 2x+3x=35 which then becomes 5x=35 .

    2x - 8 + 3x - 10 = 17 {remove parentheses}

    5x - 18 = 17 {combine like terms}

    5x = 35 {add 18 to both sides}

    x = 7 {divide both sides by 5}
