The President of the United States of America is paid $400,000  annually. That is the salary anyone in that office would receive.

George W. Bush is paid as the president. But he is also a successful lawyer, business man and investor. So he has personal income beyond his salary.

This is true of most if not all politicians in office regardless of party.
