I have always loved sports. However I have never understood the appeal of the sports bar. What is the appeal of going to a place to eat crappy food and drink overpriced beer and watch the same game you could be watching at home with better food and cheaper beer. Sports fans act like sports bars are holy temples or something yet wouldnt you rather watch the game at the stadium or at home. Furthermore what is the appeal of the crappy food. Obviously not since everytime a upscale bar with even mediocre food opens everyone critices it becuase it is not a real sports bar? What is so great about a real sports bar????

  1. Well, eating & watching inside the comfort of our own living room alone is very peaceful & if with friends & family members around it will be fun & you get to bond among people close to you. Now that's one way to relax & enjoy fine dining. However, all people won't have the same enjoyment in life. Others go to sports bars to meet new friends & have fun watching their favorite sports while eating & drinking. Besides this, they get to hang & react  with different kinds of people besides with their own families & friends. Extra adventure & opportunities adds more fun & spice in life. Different people, definitely different styles & tastes in life.

  2. the sports bars by my house got cheap beer and good *** food...and I love watching the White Sox games!!!

where are the bars you are going to??

  3. I don't know too.

  4. I want to watch games at my house.  Or if you want the atmosphere just invite people over to watch with you and have a party.  I have control over the quality and temperature of the snacks and drinks and timing.   So I just don't get the appeal.
