What is the appropriate amount to tip a Skycap at the airport??

You know the guys who you can check in your luggage at the curb and get you your ticket? What's an appropriate tip??

  1. I think $4. to $5. per bag is a good tip.


  2. $1-$2 per bag is the etiquette rule.

    Your husband sounds very rich and/or generous.

    The amount he suggested/paid is ridiculous.

  4. The Big Book Of Etiquette says that you tip a Skycap $1 per bag $2 if it is a big bag.   I usually tip $3 per bag but your husband is a very generous man, and I doubt very, very much if there is a skycap in any airport that makes $100k a year!!!

  5. I would say $2, it is kind of his assigned job.

    $20 to $50 is totally insane for picking up a bag! I only ever bring one suitcase so I always go with $2. Now I'm interested to see what other people say !
