I have my multi-commercial & instrument. Just wanted to get a rough idea of what folks out there think it should take (on average) to complete my CFI including written tests etc. Give me an idea of what you're factoring in when you list the price (i.e. price per hour of flight, etc.)

  1. If you already have those ratings, it should take about 15 hours. I used a C-177RG and it took around 2,500.00.

  2. Current costs for CFI courses offered in the USA by various companies range from about $3000 to $4500, which  includes ground school, written test fees, and 10 hours of flight instruction, plus a checkride paid to the examiner of about $350 to $500. If you require more than 10 hours, then it will obviously cost you more.

There is actually no specific requirement of hours, except that you need 3 hours in preparation for the flight test, so if you can practice from the right seat on your own, and are diligent about self-study, you might be able to do it cheaper than what I've quoted.
