What is the approximate cost of construction of commercial buildings in cities like Sydney and Melbourne?

can some one tell us the cost of construction of a shopping mall there?

Well..... if you're looking at a little corner shop set up with a few shops and little carpark I'd say a few hundreds of thousands.  A big multilevel shopping centre with a few levels of carparking and hundreds of shops in a high rent district - hundreds of millions! (That's AUD$)  And then of course there's everything in between.  

If you look at some major building contractor's websites they'll likely have a resume of completed projects and their costs.
