  1. The 3/5 Compromise was in fact put in the Constitution.  It stated that each slave would count as 3/5 of a person for representation in the House of Representatives.  Therefore, 5 slaves would be 3 people.

  3. I believe it was the 3/5th Compromise that stated that each slave counted as 3/5ths of a vote.  It was in fact in the Constitution.  A sad mark on our nation's history.
