  1. armed services vocational aptitude battery

it is the IQ test for the military and it helps to determine what type of tasks best suit your thought process

  2. Depending on which branch, AF or Navy, and if you have or not a high school diploma you may need anywhere from 35 to 50 to pass it. The highest score is 99.

Just a test to see the areas in which you are good at, Math, English, etc. It's easy don't worry, if you want to study on it without buying a book.

Go to your local library, ask the librarian for the ASVAB study guide or go to the military section and look for it. Thompson/Arco one is a good one.

The lines scores are what matter so if you get a 60 don't fret over it, if the line scores (number of correct questions you answers in each section) add up and make it to Aviation then you are good to go.

Besides that you also must pass physical examination at MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station).

If you are going to be a pilot or aiming for it in the Navy, go to http://www.mynavyonline.com, I'm KJC88 there and you can learn more in detailed about all the Navy aviation jobs.

    Good luck.
