What is the attention span of a frog?

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not...but seriously, I want to know.

  2. After hours of observation I believe their attention span is less than 10 seconds and probably on the average less than 5 seconds.

    Why?

    Their behaviors are closely tied to their feeding habits.

    Unlike other animals frogs cannot afford to have patience. They must eat relatively large amounts of insects to meet their dietary requirements.

    If a target insect stops moving for 5 seconds or so a frog will usually move on to a more likely target. This helps conserve energy.

    Having a short attention span makes more sense for them.
