my grandmother is goan, and from what I know, a lot of the cuisine uses a lot more coconut and coconut milk (in curry for example). Another thing that is typically goan, is adding onion and other vegetables and spices in rice. Goan food is usually very spicy... Seafood is also a huge part of meals over there..Goan cuisine also has a lot of portuguese influence.
