What is the average babysitting rate now?

I wanted to find out what the babysitting rate is now. Is it more or less depending on which house you stay at, theirs or yours? This would be for a mom babysitter, not a teenager.

When I did it I got $5.00 per head per hour.

For a license-exempt childcare provider normal pay is $4.50 - $5/hour reasonably anyway. I am sure some charge $7/hour or more.

Around 2.50 an hr. per child.

And if its a baby or toddler then I would add a little more(.50-1.00)
