  1. For the dog itself anywhere from an adoption fee of $100 or so on up through $1,000 or more from a reputable breeder. Supplies and vet care in the first week total about $400 and monthly fees will be around $100 (depending) after that.

  2. Seventeen hundred billion.

  3. There is no average. It depends on whatever the seller wants..can be anywhere from 100 to 1,000 bucks.

Check local shelters. They might have them there.

  4. Boy that's a hard one...

If it is from a shelter, less than $100 dollars.

If you the poodle club of america and look for poodle rescue organizations in your area you may pay less.

Backyard breeders commonly charge about $400-500 with no assurance of testing for health, they won't take the dog back or offer to take the dog back and return your dog if there is a health problem. If you can't keep the dog, they don't want it back.

Reputable breeders can charge up to $1500, and maybe more. They will be able to describe the health issues 3 generations back, take the dog back and return your money if the dog isn't healthy, many will ask to have the dog back if you can't keep it any more. These breeders are interested in improving the breed, creating healthy dogs, and encouraging interest in the breed.

While that seems like a lot of money, I'll let you in on a secret. Purchasing your dog will be the cheapest, yes cheapest, expense you will pay regarding your dog. That is why many of us including myself are so strident about getting a healthy dog, and one of the best methods is to look at the genealogy from the breeder.

If you are trying to save money, go to a poodle club an enquire about  rescue dogs.

  5. Depends on where You get them. If you get a pure-bred from a Certified Breeder, they can START- at $500. If you go the Pet Store route, you can expect to pay  $75+ . And FINALLY, if you want a REALLY nice one -that's Cute & NO Trouble to take care of, You can get a Stuffed one at Wal-mart -for $5.98. So it all depends on what you're after..!  :)
