What is the average cost of getting hermit crabs?

I know they are fairly cheap, but all the other stuff like the 10 gallon tanks, 6 dishes, toys, hideys, the crabs, the undertank heaters, humidity guages, thermometers, sand, the special water treatments, and all the other stuff that i might have forgotten to list.

it depends where you go and the quality of what you buy. the tank will cost around 10-20 dollars and the rest will be around 5-10 dollars a peice depending on the place the quality the vendor the what it is. good luck with your hermit crabs they are SO CUTE!

hahahahah! you dont need all that extra stuff. a 5 gal. tank, 2 crabs, some sand, a dish, a sponge, and a piece of wood will cost you about 15-20 bucks. they are just little critters, they dont need all that fancy c**p
