To give you a better idea in Florida or New York or Atlantic City, or just a general amount. And by long term I mean if you wanted to live on it.

  1. Wow....$120 a foot.  that is  a lot.

    1.  most marinas restrict or do not allow Livaboards.  if they do the monthly fee can be from 300 to 1000 a month depending on the amenities.

    2.  most marinas have more reasonable fees for slips like 12 - 20 per foot.  so the average 30' slip is like 600 per month.  end ties can be either more or less dependin on the suitability.

In california, the slip fees are like the above.  most of the people I know average about 400 for the slip which includes power and water.  the marina also has showers and most have fuel docks and chandleries.

I dont think its anywhere near 200 per foot even for cruise ships.

  2. Live aboards get charged more because of water and power useage...on average $100/ft per season.

  3. I am on Long Island and there are very few places that will allow that now. The cost is up to $120 a foot per year or more out east.

  4. Generally the closer to large cities or the closer to Florida the higher the cost. Most marinas charge by the foot and the minimum I have found is about $10. per foot per month extra for liveaboard (if you can find one) Liveaboard unless you moor or anchor is disappearing due to increases in owner

    dockumeniums taking over......everywhere.
